Obituary
DEVONA ANN CLAYTON LONG, age 87, of 177 Wildflower Lane, Roxboro, NC died Thursday night, January 5, 2023 at Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Long was born October 6, 1935 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Osmond Afley & Ruby Helen Carver Clayton and was wife of 46 years to Billy Linwood Long who survives. She was retired from Roxboro Manufacturing and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Mrs. Long enjoyed reading and traveling when she was able to.
Surviving are two children, Debbie Riley & husband, Andy of Hurdle Mills, NC, Linn Long & wife, Amy of Roxboro, NC, three grandchildren, Andy Riley, Jr., Melissa Greer, Jessica Shull, and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Long is preceded in death by a brother, Ozzie Clayton.
Mrs. Long’s wishes were that no services be held. Those wishing to pay their respects may go by the home and do so.
