Deborah Marie (Oakley) Hancock

DEBORAH MARIE OAKLEY HANCOCK, age 64, of 431 Younger Road, Roxboro, NC passed away Thursday morning, February 20, 2025 at her home. 

Mrs. Hancock was born August 6, 1960 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late William Calvin Oakley & Deloris Juanita Robertson Ford and was wife of nearly 32 years to Dewey Joseph Hancock, Sr. who survives.  She was previously employed with Roxboro Cleaning Services and Carol’s Collectables.  Deborah enjoyed shopping and working in the yard.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Pamela Dail, sister, Gail Mise & husband, Dennis, three grandchildren, Nicole Dail, Chase Dail, Calvin Dail, two step-children, Joe Hancock & wife, Kerri, Brooke Still & husband, Mike, six step-grandchildren, Hunter Nichols & wife, Caitlin, Cole Hancock, Brady Hancock, Dalton Hancock, Megan Bennette, Kassidy Bennette, and pet dog, Buttons.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hancock is preceded in death by a brother, William Michael Oakley.

The family will receive friends and guests from 2:00 till 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services and other times at the home.
