Daryl Matthew Griffin

DARYL MATTHEW GRIFFIN, age 44, of Raleigh, NC passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Griffin was born May 19, 1979 in Durham County, NC, son of David Maurice Griffin, Sr. & the late Nelda Gray Eastwood Griffin.  He was employed with Touchstone Residential Services as a Direct Care Staffer.

Daryl enjoyed trips to the beach & mountains, Carolina basketball & football, and spending time with his brother David.

Surviving in addition to his father are a special friend, Joselin Bustamante of CA, aunts, Beverly E. Laws & husband, Brad of Roxboro, NC, Betty E. Harvey & husband, Bob of Clinton, NC, Susan E. Hamer & husband, Richard of Raleigh, NC, Barbara E. Carr & husband, Reggie of Roxboro, NC, uncles, Ricky N. Griffin & wife, Becky of Gibsonville, NC, Robert B. Griffin of Mebane, NC, Donald L. Eastwood & wife, Bertha of Burlington, NC, Tommie W. Eastwood & wife, Tammy of Roxboro, NC, Steve W. Eastwood & husband, Ben of Lillington, NC, Kent D. Eastwood & wife, Cammie of Durham, NC, and a host of cousins.

In addition to his mother, Daryl is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Louise Gates Eastwood & Jamie Hysell Eastwood, paternal grandparents, Frances Murray Griffin & David Fillmore Griffin, uncles, Charles Easley Griffin, Jamie Hysell Eastwood, Jr., William Wiley Eastwood, and aunt, Janice Eastwood Palmer & husband, Johnnie.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. DuPre Sanders officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery.
