Danny Lee Rowland

DANNY LEE ROWLAND, age 70, of 901 Ridge Road, Roxboro, NC died Sunday morning, May 31, 2020 at Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation.

Mr. Rowland was born November 20, 1949 in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Elisha Hal & Charlotte Mae Curtis Rowland. He was a brick mason prior to being disabled and was a member of McGhee’s Mill Baptist Church.  

Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, going to church, and his family.

Surviving are two children, Andy Lee Rowland & wife, Miranda of Roxboro, NC, Jessica Rowland & fiancée, John Woodman of Rougemont, NC, brother, Ronnie Rowland & wife, Bonnie of Ringgold, VA, two sisters, Susie Holt & husband, Noel of Ringgold, VA, Kathy Motley & husband, Randy of Danville, VA, two grandchildren, Shylynn Rowland and Jeremiah Woodman.

In addition to his parents Mr. Rowland is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Rowland.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at McGhee’s Mill Baptist Church with Pastor Frankie Reaves officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be David Mangum, Gary Mangum, Tony Reaves, Gary Rowland, Kenny Wilson, and Troy Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be John Hazel and Ricky Wilson.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to McGhee’s Mill Baptist Church, 9000 McGhee’s Mill Road, Semora, NC 27343.
