CYNTHIA FAYE LONG FLOYD age 88, of 901 Ridge Road, Roxboro, NC died Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021 at Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Floyd was born November 16, 1932 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Brodie Ulysses & Ressie Rhew Long. She was a homemaker and was a member of Rock Grove Baptist Church where she was a former member of the choir.
Cynthia enjoyed animals, cooking (famous chocolate pies), playing piano, listening to The Gaither’s, quilting, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son, Wayne Floyd & wife, Joan, two grandsons, Alex Floyd, and Aaron Floyd all of Hurdle Mills, NC.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Floyd is preceded in death by a sister, Clarice Talley, two brothers, Curtis Long, and Ronald Long.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Burton, David Chambers, Aaron Floyd, Alex Floyd, and Billy Horner.
The family would like to thank all of the care givers for the services they provided over the years and the staff of Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for the services they provided in recent years.
