Coy Mike Humphries

COY MIKE HUMPHRIES, age 82, of 6711 Old Roxboro Road, Oxford, NC passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 5, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Humphries was born April 8, 1941 in Person County, NC, son of the late Artie Cornelius & Sally Holt Humphries and was husband of 58 years to Geneva Adcock Humphries who survives.  He was retired from the City of Roxboro and was a member of Trinity Crossroads Church.

Mike enjoyed mechanining, fishing, old cars, and animals.

Surviving in addition to his wife are several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Humphries is preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn H. Epps, and three brothers, Chester Humphries, Kerry Humphries, and Reade Humphries.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in the Trinity Crossroads Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Whitt officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests at the home.

Pallbearers will be Norman “Sambo” Adcock, Kenneth Carver, Randall Carver, Jason Huff, William Moody, and Robert “Sam” Tingen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Person County Animal Protection Society, P.O. Box 291, Roxboro, NC 27573.
