Cornelius Winston Seamons

CORNELIUS WINSTON SEAMONS, age 96, of 10051 Virgilina Road, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Saturday morning, May 3, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. 

Mr. Seamons was born March 21, 1929 in Halifax County, VA, son of the late Andrew Easley Seamons, Sr. & Gyrtle Irene Bowen Seamons and was husband of nearly 70 years to Eloise Jones Seamons who survives.  He was retired from Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA after 38 years of service, was an accomplished upholsterer, was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army where he served in the Korean Conflict.

Cornelius enjoyed taking pictures on his IPAD, spending time with his grandchildren, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and talking to people.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Sandra Seamons Coghill & husband, Eddie, Ricky Seamons & wife, Amber, six grandchildren, Randy Seamons, Jr. & wife, Jennifer, Tina Warrick & husband, Lewis, Kaylyn McKenna & husband, Joe, Colby Seamons (Eli Pope), Cody Tilley & wife, Megan, Courtney Rice & husband, David, seven great-grandchildren, Hunter & Chase Seamons, Julie & Tessa Warrick, Walker McKenna, Tinsley & Asher Rice, and sister, Elizabeth Langford.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Seamons is preceded in death by a son, Randy Dean Seamons, Sr., sister, Esther Mae Murray, brothers, Moses Seamons, and A.J. Seamons.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor Blackwell, and Freddie Hobbs officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Olive Branch Baptist Church, and other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Greg Humphries, Wyatt Jones, Joe McKenna, Randall Sanford, Randy Seamons, and Cody Tilley.
