Obituary
CHRISTOPHER DAVID PRUITT, SR., age 36, of 1100 West NC Highway 54 Bypass, Unit 72, Chapel Hill, NC died Monday afternoon, February 20, 2023 at UNC Medical Center.
Mr. Pruitt was born May 28, 1986 in Durham County, NC, son of the late David Lynn Veasey & Karen Gail Meadows and partner, Vincent Charles Bratton who survive. Prior to becoming disabled he was employed with The Hickory Tavern in Carrboro, NC as a chef.
Christopher enjoyed gaming, cooking and entertaining, and being with his friends.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Christopher David “CJ” Pruitt, Jr., companion, Elyssa-Beth Bender, sister, Meghan Pruitt Carroll & husband, Matthew, nephew, Theodore Carroll, niece, Natalie Frances Carroll, several aunts, uncles, cousins, a half-brother, and a half-sister.
In addition to his father, Mr. Pruitt is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted at a later date.
