Cheryl Ann (Powers) Meade

CHERYL ANN POWERS MEADE, age 71, of Timberlake, NC passed away Thursday evening, February 6, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side. 

Ms. Meade was born December 16, 1953 in Durham County, NC, daughter of the late William Claude & Naomi Jane Krites Powers.  She was retired from LC Industries and previously worked with General Telephone.

Cheryl was a Christian, and enjoyed trips to the beach and playing cards.   

Surviving are a son, Chuck Meade & wife, Erin, sister, Brynda P. Long & husband, Jerry, brother, Alan Powers & wife, Amy, three grandchildren, Zoey Meade, Kinsley Harris, Rilyn Harris, special niece, Kelly Bolognesi, nephews, Cam Long, Travis Powers, great-nieces & nephews, John, Marina, Julia, Tristan, father of her son, Douglas Meade, and a host of cousins and friends.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services with Dr. M. David Chambers speaking.  Casual dress is requested.

Flowers are acceptable. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Laura Gray, Cindy Browning, Kelly Bolognesi, Alan Powers, and close friends that helped Cheryl through her cancer treatment and through her times of help and need.
