Brenda Ann (Oakley) Lee

BRENDA ANN OAKLEY LEE, age 79, of Roxboro, NC passed away Friday afternoon, December 26, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.  Born May 15, 1946 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Alva Clinton & Adell Clayton Oakley and was wife of Edward Lawton Lee who survives.  She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Brenda enjoyed trips to the mountains, tending her flowers, antiquing, and going shopping with her sister.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, James Glenn Lee & wife, Sara, siblings, Nancy Morris, Randall Wayne Oakley, A.C. Oakley, Jr., David Dwight Oakley & wife, Shirley, Sylvia Jane Snoddy, Darlene Gail Fitch & husband, Steve, Richard Ray Oakley (Wendy Carr), and Wanda Oakley Whitfield & husband, William.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee is preceded in death by a son, Alan Joseph Lee, and a brother, Donald Kirk Oakley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2025 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Charlton Fitch, Jordan Fitch, Ronald Lankford, Lacy Morris, Richie Oakley, and Paul Solomon.  Honorary pallbearer will be Greg Snipes.
