Billie Voyde Kidd

BILLIE VOYDE KIDD age 69, of 7065 Hurdle Mills Road, Hurdle Mills, NC died Thursday afternoon, June 24, 2021.

Mr. Kidd was born July 21, 1951 in Person County, NC, son of the late Thomas Walter & Sylvia Clayton Kidd. He was retired from American Tobacco Company, was previously employed with Coca Cola of Durham, was a member of Surl Primitive Baptist Church, and also attended Helena, Roxboro, Stories Creek, and Flat River Primitive Baptist Churches. 

Billie enjoyed going to the Senior Center, helping on the farm, hanging out with his nephews, and just spending time with his family.

Surviving are a brother, Selby Kidd & wife, Sylvia of Roxboro, NC, sister, Joan K. Horton & husband, Russell of Hurdle Mills, NC, three special nephews, Anthony Horton, Andrew Horton, Anderson Horton, and a host of other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kidd is preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Kidd, Coy Kidd, Larry Kidd, four sisters, Ailene K. Bradsher, Joyce Kidd, Nita K. Mooney, and Vann K. Solomon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Surl Primitive Baptist Church Elder David Minter officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   

Pallbearers will be Mertis Blalock, Colon Bradsher, David Elliott, Anderson Horton, Andrew Horton, and Anthony Horton.
