Betsy Ann (Ward) Strautnieks

BETSY ANN WARD STRAUTNIEKS, age 63, of Roxboro, NC passed away Saturday evening, July 13, 2024, at her home.    

Mrs. Strautnieks was born June 5, 1961 in Vance County, NC, daughter of the late Charlie & Esther Victoria Todd Ward, and was wife of 45 years to the late Robert “Robbie” Strautnieks.  She was one of thirteen siblings.

Betsy worked at Wal-Mart for twenty- five years.  Upon retiring, she had a cleaning business as well as being a caregiver and was of the Baptist faith. 

Betsy loved the color pink, red roses and angels.

Surviving are her daughters, Robin Strautnieks (Joshua Conklin), Christina Bradley & husband, William, Dana Johnson & husband, Brandon, two step-sons, Robert “Lynn” Strautnieks, and Chris Broyles, four grandchildren, Brianna Bradley, Caitlyn Bradley, Penelope Johnson, and Zachary Johnson. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Strautnieks is preceded in death by a son, Robert Strautnieks, Jr. and a daughter, Michele Strautnieks. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 16, 2024 at Timberlake Baptist Church, 3035 Surl Mt. Tirzah Road, Timberlake, NC with Dr. M. David Chambers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Timberlake Baptist Church cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Joshua Conklin, William Bradley, Brandon Johnson, Chris Broyles, Preston Lee Shepherd, and Robert Lynn Strautnieks.
