Barbara Ruth (Ross) McNeill

BARBARA RUTH ROSS McNEILL age 82, of 3233 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont, NC died Saturday afternoon, March 27, 2021 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. McNeill was born October 23, 1938 in Durham County, NC, daughter of the late Reuben Vernon & Gaynell Terry Ross and was wife of the late Paul Wilson McNeill.  She was retired from Liggett & Myers and IBM and was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. McNeill enjoyed her chickens, being outdoors, going to the beach, Duke basketball, flowers, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra McKeever of Wilmington, NC, two grandchildren, Keeley McKeever, Seth McKeever, brother, Jerry Ross & wife, Virginia of Rougemont, NC, nephew, Randy Ross & wife, Bonnie of Creedmoor, NC, pet dog, Rossie, and special friend, Kim West.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. McNeill is preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Wray, and brother, Buck Ross.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.  Following the service please join the family at the home of Mrs. McNeill to celebrate her life with food, family, and friends.
