Arthur Hadley Tillett, Jr.

ARTHUR HADLEY TILLETT, JR., age 75, of Timberlake, NC passed away Saturday afternoon, November 4, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Tillett was born April 17, 1948 in Person County, NC, son of the late Arthur Hadley Tillett, Sr. & the late Dorothy Tuvell Tillett and was husband of 34 years to Patricia Lee Weekley Tillett who survives.  He was retired from the telephone industry and was a member of Montwood Baptist Church.

Arthur was an avid collector of artifacts and enjoyed gunsmithing and model air planes.  He was a master craftsman where he worked on clocks and made fine furniture.  He was also very active in the local museums of Roxboro and Milton.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Kevin Phillip Tillett & wife, Rebecca, step-daughter, Jennifer Holder & husband, Brian, two grandchildren, Haylee Holder, and Austin Tillett.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Mt. Tirzah United Methodist Church with Kevin Tillett and the Rev. Ron Mullin officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the church.
