Arlene Elaine Sneed

MS. ARLENE ELAINE SNEED, age 58, of 329 North Main Street, Roxboro, NC died Thursday, June 11, 2020 at her home.

Ms. Sneed was born March 29, 1962 in Granville County, NC, daughter of the late James Crawford Sneed and Shirley Marie Powell Sneed, who survives and was wife of Bradley Jonas. She was a self-employed building contractor and was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church in Berea NC.

Surviving in addition to her mother are daughter, Raven Currin and husband, David of Oxford, sister, Cindy Parker and husband Tim of Oxford, two nieces, Chelsea Parks of Dallas, Texas and Gabby Parker of Raleigh, nephew, James Parker of Wake Forest, a host of aunts and one uncle, Ronald Sneed of Raleigh, god-parents Joan and Durwood Hester of Oxford, the father of her children, Mitchell Latta and her beloved cats, Boodles, Boo Kitty, Murdy, Sylvester and Mischief.

In addition to her father, Ms. Sneed is preceded in death by a son, Zachary James Latta and a first cousin, Dan Hester.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Steve Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
