Angela Elizabeth (Carver) Coleman

ANGELA ELIZABETH CARVER COLEMAN, age 76, of 1029 Kimball Drive, Durham, NC died Saturday afternoon, August 21, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Coleman was born June 17, 1945 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Joe Dallas Carver, Sr. & Edna Hall Barton Carver and was wife of 41 years to Robert Randolph Coleman who survives. She was retired as a self-employed staffing agent, had the honor of being Miss Roxboro in 1962, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was former choir director, pianist, and organist.

Angela enjoyed working (she was top sales with Kelly Services for many years), church, playing piano and organ, giving back to her community, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Christopher Bowes & wife, Barbara, two grandchildren, Jacob Bowes, Megan Bowes, three great grandchildren, Sadie Dean Bowes, Justin Thomas Bowes, Conner Bowes, sister, Patricia Carver Hamilton (Dale Barnhill), two brothers, Reginald Barton Carver, Joe Dallas Carver, Jr. (Edith), nieces and nephew, Patrice Barnette Taylor, Sherri Hicks, Paige Carver, Jay Carver, and a host of cousins. 

In addition to her parents Mrs. Coleman is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, W.L. Barton & Annie Dean Monk Barton, paternal grandparents, Fletcher H. Carver & Ada Long Carver.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. M. David Chambers officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the church.
