Andrew Jackson Blalock

ANDREW JACKSON BLALOCK age 84, of 3094 Oxford Road, Roxboro, NC died Friday morning, March 5, 2021 at the Hock Family Pavilion.

Mr. Blalock was born December 31, 1936 in Person County, NC, son of the late Melvin Asbury & Martha May Blaylock Blalock and was husband of 53 years to the late Deloris Palmer Blalock.  He was retired from Loxcreen, was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Andrew enjoyed watching cartoons and old sitcoms, country music, yard sales and mowing grass.

Surviving are two daughters Wanda B. Martinez of Roxboro, NC, Andrea B. Hargis (Junior Regan) of Timberlake, NC, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife Mr. Blalock is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Thomas Blalock, and daughter, Brenda Carol Blalock Capps.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Elder Jimmy Gray officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.  Interment will follow in the Blalock Family Cemetery, Hurdle Mills, NC.  

Pallbearers will be Tony Beaver, Marty Palmer, Mike Palmer, Noah Palmer, Thomas Palmer, Junior Regan, Greg Slaughter, and Travis Slaughter.
