Alexander "Alex" Vaughn Humphries

ALEXANDER “ALEX” VAUGHN HUMPHRIES, age 32, of 8163 Crawford Currin Road, Oxford, NC passed away Wednesday morning, October 18, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Humphries was born February 12, 1991 in Durham County, NC, son of Richard “Ricky” Lee Humphries and the late Elizabeth Barlett Dunn Humphries.  He was previously employed with Crowder Construction as an equipment operator and also with Ricky Humphries Tire & Alignment.  He was of the Baptist faith. 

Alex enjoyed fishing, skate boarding and playing video games, but his greatest joy was spending time with his son. 

Surviving in addition to his father is a son, Koltyn “Kash” Humphries, brother, Justin Lee Humphries, nephew, River Humphries, aunts and uncles, Katie Blalock of Durham, NC, Mary Nelson & husband, Roy, of Oxford, NC, Linda H. Perkins, Margaret Humphries, both of Roxboro, NC, Starr Burgess & husband, David of Harmony, NC, Judith Haines Dunn of Roxboro, NC, Bennie Thomas “Joe” Dunn, Jr. & wife, Karen of Mountain View, CA, and a host of cousins. 

In addition to his mother, Mr. Humphries is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard & Nettie Humphries, Bennie & Mary Dunn, and aunt, Shirley Russell.

Private Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
