Wilma Faye (Lipscomb) Brooks

WILMA FAYE LIPSCOMB BROOKS age 73, of 3875 Halifax Road, Roxboro, NC, died Thursday afternoon, July 11, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Brooks was born November 21, 1945, in Portsmouth, VA, daughter of the late Hudson Wallace & Eldorado Mangum Lipscomb and was wife of 55 years to Charles Frazier Brooks who survives.  She was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp. and was a member of Rock Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Mark Tracey Brooks, Wallace Frazier Brooks both of Roxboro, NC, four grandchildren, Hudson Brooks, Emery Brooks, Hunter Brooks, Morgan Brooks Ellis, great grandchild, Cayson Brooks, two brothers, Billy Ray Lipscomb, and Larry Lipscomb.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Lee Holt, Edna Flynn, and four brothers, Stanley Lipscomb, Carlton Lipscomb, Joe Lipscomb, and Linwood “Lin” Lipscomb.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Rock Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Pulliam officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests at the cemetery after the service.
