Susie Faye (Lappin) Wilborn

SUSIE FAYE LAPPIN WILBORN age 65, of 737 Denny’s Store Road, Roxboro, NC died peacefully Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Wilborn was born March 5, 1954 in Chincoteague, VA, daughter of the late Edna Louise Booth Lappin and was wife of 42 years to the late Jimmy Bascom Wilborn, Sr.  She was retired from Person County 911 and formerly worked for the Person County Sheriff’s Office.  Susie enjoyed crocheting, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are three children, Sandy W. Clayton & husband, Daniel, Jimmy B. Wilborn, Jr. & wife, Sherry, Jason "Skeet" Wilborn & wife, Cicely all of Roxboro, NC, six grandsons, Jeffrey Clayton, Tyler Clayton, J.T. Wilborn, Seth Wilborn, Holden Wilborn, Jack Wilborn, six siblings, Rick Lappin & wife, Diane of Roxboro, NC, Eddie Lappin & wife, Cheryl, Carol Lappin, Teresa Lappin, Dean Wilson, Christine Malone, all of Chincoteague, VA, and sister-in-law, Shelia Tuck.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Chaplin Tom Hehenberger officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunn Section of Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 12:00 till 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.    

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Person County Sheriff’s Office.
